a few years ago the conventional wisdom more people would not read longform journalism on the internethat has been upended. part of "the nation" is challenging the orthodoxy. where we heading? i believe this is a country where we need rebellious dissident voices. we need quality journalism. you need to push the parameters of what seems possible. we are in early alert. reporting on cuba we ship history. we warned when glass-steagall was repealed what it would lead to. we prefigured occupy and the discussion and equality. charlie: the many battles are still issues facing the country. katrina: absolutely.
