think that pub the road show will be out there and there's a presentation in san francisco on the 16th a presentation at mta on the 21st and bart will be presented with the finding on the 23rd all of april and then hopefully, the balance of m t c and transit and the commission will happen in between you'll that or right after that some things to that effect i promise we'll be in front of you and again, the holed up is the supervisor really wants to be here we're trying to make that work just so your up to date we continue to press for changes in western selma regarding the llp the commission discussed motion to strike now and put forward their desire so we're still staying on supervisor kim's office to draft some legislation although we've not seen anything yet we're continuing to bring those venues that come to our attention in those areas that are zoned right now not to allow llps in there's a list ever them and she can have some backing of community in that regard so when that comes into being we'll bring it right to you also wrote in here the 90 words on the second yormd if we've talked about that that'

that these will always address the issue with some of the outside, non-mta type of outfits that have been coming up in san francisco and i think that on the one hand we can learn from them that if they are croping up it is because there is probably a need that is not being met by our own transit agency and so what can we do better and whether it has to do with taxis or anything else or just regular mta service and i encourage us to move forward and figure out how to regulate and get a handle on them and identify what are the weaknesses and how to do a better job to serve the customers as well. and keep coming up with the great ideas such as the boarding that has helped a lot and i think that the creative solutions that don't cost a lot of money but helps to feed the transit that is important. and for me, i am going to be paying a lot of attention to the muni forward initiative and i know that mta has helped, a series of community meetings already and they are going to continue doing that, but i have not seen for some reason, a level of participation at least on the west side for some of these meetings and so maybe

mta. and that's a question of, "how do we enis that your we provide the best* [ensure]* service in fashion that's consistent with the values and principles that we hold at san francisco?" and i think that one thing that may be required to do that is to perhaps change the approach of how these contracts are structured, because to the extent that the focus is on the lowest bid in a contract, that may not necessarily be the best result, because the lowest bid could necessarily lead to the employees in a given contract being shortchanged in terms of salary, in terms of benefits. i think that we obviously want the taxpayer's money to be used efficiently, but we also don't want that efficiency to lead to any worker being deprived of a fair wage and the benefits that are due to them. so with that in mind, i would simply note that it might be helpful moving forward to figure out how these kinds of contracts can be structured moving forward in such a way that addresses that issue. and there may be other way of need for legal change. i know city law protects certain workers rightly so. janitors provided prevailing wage. there may be a need to, i think, to explore the need to d
