murphy are next. senator franken. >> thank you, mr. chairman. thank you to the ranking member for holding this hearing. precision medicine is extremely exciting. those of us in minnesota thank you, dr. collins. because mayo and the university of minnesota have been doing genomics project that funded by you. very smart on your part. this is exciting because this's really been a paradigm shift in the way we think of health care in this country in some part due to the health care reform law, health care providers and insurers are moving more toward person centered care. i'm talking about coordinated care medical homes, acos provide incentives and information that help doctors taylor their practice their treatments, their therapies to meet the needs of individual patients. and that's of course what precision medicine is all about making sure the right patients get the right treatment. and the right treatment doesn't as wu were saying, dr. collins, doesn't necessarily mean -- it isn't treating people when they're sick. it's about health care not sick
