with the aspen institute. ere's a lot of innovative things going on in the country but were not taking advantage of test practices and learning around the country. what is going on in chicago or south carolina or arizona -- there's a lot of interesting things going on. we need to bring those efforts and ecosystems together. meaning, we need to bring the university, the community college, the private sector, the local government, in regions together to learn from one another and help develop best practices around skilled workforce training. it is an assumption. we've got to have internet capability. we have got to have the capacity to support these kinds of training and learning. mr. powell: i think that's a great insight. lots of times in public media we spend a lot of time talking about technology and not what it means to be a citizen or consumer or member of the labor force. even to be a consumer, if you think about it, increasingly requires technical skill and educational attainment that really is not there.
