on what we can expect, moving forward kathy? >>> chris, the cloud are not keeping the crowds, away, no way, the beach was packed earlier, and you can see folks on the promenade behind me and still we're seeing people hanging out on the beach. it has been a long winter accounts a long spring and hey, we're here, we don't mind the clouds. on storm scan three we have a few spotty showers and they are moving toward the shore but just a sprinkle here and there. it is cloudy here in sea isle city temperatures at 81 degrees. more numerous showers out to the west and they will take time to get here. we have a slight risk of severe weather really through sussex county delaware, georgetown southward and eastern shore of maryland. slight risk means there could be heavy downpours and spotty storms gusty wind and even the risk of hail. for tonight showers and steady rain, quarter to half inch late. highest amount in philadelphia and that is best chance of seeing some thunder as well. here's our first forecast 7:00 o'clock 77 in philadelphia.

kathy watkins hadn't committed the crime. kathy watkins was innocent. she had always proclaimed her innocence, but no one had ever believed her. no one believed her, that is until in 2012 an investigator in my office, former nypd police officer john o'malley, happened to come across evidence that cast doubt on her conviction. he was one person, and what a difference he made. there is no radio serial or hbo special about john o'malley and about that case, but he quickly took on the task of reinvestigating the murder. he didn't have to. it wasn't his case. and he had a thousand things on his plate already. but he studied the facts, he read the trial transcript, and he interviewed new witnesses. and on the strength of that reinvestigation, backed up by prosecutors from my office kathy watkins was released from prison in 2012, and her conviction formally vacated by a judge. 17 years later -- 17 years later -- she was finally free. and so one person can make a difference, but there is even another lesson to this story. the power of hope and possibility. you

we will begin with kathy where she's tracking where that heaviest storm is right now kathy. >> we are watching a severe threat. this is a line of severe storms moving in along the the eastern shore of maryland but they continue to move east at 40 miles an hour and that means new castle county, kent county and sussex county delaware please ab wear that these storms are heading your way as well. they will stay severe, that could pack a punch within the next hour or so. in the meantime as we look through main line of philadelphia through suburbs of the montgomery and bucks county we have heavy rain moving up i-95 corridor through wilmington right new through parts of the delaware county and philadelphia you can see interior south jersey where we had a severe cell still seeing heavy rain pleading to flooding, glassboro, upper pilesgrove and moving into gloucester as well. every where seeing heavy rain. thinks a hail indication from our previous storm. you can see our tornado warning earlier today across the river into salem county and these are all indications of hail, as large as one to

meteorologist kathy orr is still tracking more unsettled weather in the area. kathy? >> it is amazing this storm has evolved started off as severe storms with potential tornadoes dangerous hail, damaging winds. now, it's all about the flooding and some pictures we've received have been incredible. this is wind swept torrential rain courtesy our "eyewitness weather" watcher margo steinmann isn't buena voice to and you can see it is coming down in buckets inches of rain have fallen across parts of new jersey and that's how we are counting it tonight on storm scan3 i want to you look at all the yellow and oranges that is rain rates of about an inch an hour earlier today we had about two 3-inches an hour. all those moving toward the northeast. little bit of a break through central delaware another line of rain moving through the chesapeake into the eastern shore of maryland that will be moving through south jersey as well. so heavy rain along the philadelphia i-95 corridor through delaware county even philadelphia county where you see that dark orange. that is very heavy

kathy, what can we expect as we move through the evening?> well right now no severe weather but the threat will continue into the overnight a lot of oranges and reds that is heavy rain in excess of about an inch an hour. this is moving toward the northeast and more near baltimore and washington heading toward our northern and western suburb. so definitely not out of the woods yet. you can see through south jersey glassboro vineland some heavy rain this is moving southeast at about 40 miles an hour down the expressway heading toward mullica, mays landing galloway and toward the shore. places we haven't seen the rain just yet. so more rain overnight and some downpours. you can see some of our storm reports poles down in mertz town with wind gusts in excess of 60 miles an hour. top ton wires down. skippack large hail and pottsville in schuylkill unconfirmed funnel cloud another one in berks county. so we'll continue to keep you updated on that. in the meantime overnight scattered showers and storms local downpours rain amounts up to an addition

kathy: we step back with a company like uber.e are very automatically -- the medicallymatically oriented. we look at the five court wins they had before the california ruling as precedent. this will probably take years to repeal. what we must do is accelerate the trend to the autonomous vehicle market and that we don't have to worry about drivers. we think that is going to happen much more quickly, perhaps by 2020, as google has been projecting. emily: wow. uber self driving cars by 2020? what you think of that? paul: i know the folks in silicon valley think this is more on the horizon than a lot of other investors do. in terms of uber, it is one of the challenges as they think about the cost structure of their business in terms of having drivers employed or independent contractors. it applies to a whole host of the service companies that are coming up across the board and all these apps that are available. they rely on a very similar model. this is a very big issue for uber. the technology enabled service industry. as cathie sug

meteorologist kathy orr is watching it all from the weather center now. kathy? >> there's no doubt about it chris. it will be an official heat wave. yesterday' highs 91. today 91. going well beyond 90 tomorrow. the average high 85 for this time of year. look how quickly temperatures warm. 7ah we're close to 80 degrees. 82 by 9:00 a.m. by 11:00 o'clock we'll make it to 90 drones the humidity will grow as well that's why the national weather service issued a heat advisory that begins tomorrow at 11 a.m. it will feel like it's around 100 degrees when you add the humidity. so this is what it feel like tomorrow morning. in philadelphia around 82. but look by noon it will feel like 101 in the city. the same in wilmington and millville. by 3:00 o'clock, it will feel like it's 104. so dangerous heat tomorrow. then the storms move in. cold front will move in setting off showers and thunderstorms. severe weather through the midwest today. that will be in our future tomorrow. so there is a slight risk of severe weather for most of the area tomorrow we're talking about show
