to capture a photograph like this at dawn witbh a 10 asa film, he was not a bad photographer. he loved to shoot portraits. that is mary, his wife, and sammy. very handsome photograph of his wife and brother-in-law. he especially loved shooting photographs of children. that is billy, his son with the military cap leaning to one side. they are playing with something. in ? this is a group of children. a bit ragtag but adorable. that is billy on the right with the blue cap and belittle blue cap and belittle baseball bat. -- the little baseball bat. that is also billy eating an ice cream come. one of the things we can see bill doing with his color film is doing what most japanese-americans were not able to do which is use the camera to try to create and bring together some sense of a normal family life. taking pictures of our children is one of the staples of normal family life. that is what he was doing with his camera. he was in a certain way -- you can view these photographs as being the family album so many japanese american families don't have from this time period. me show yo
