we have the highest risk of severe weather right in our pennsylvania counties although there is some risk in southern delaware and parts of new jersey but the farther west you are, the closer we are to this tornado watch that's issued right now until 9:00 lancaster county westward. this watch may very well be extended during the next hours, stay tuned for that and we'll see what part of the area that covers and the potential for some tornadoes in the area. the conditions are more favorable. that's what the watch means. doesn't mean there are any actually out there yet. you can see there are storms out there in the middle of pennsylvania, western pennsylvania. there have been some reports of some damage. you can see it's all moving to the east and there's no doubt there's going to be storms in the area but let's check out the timing here. by 6:00 everything is still pretty much to the west. so things are slowing down a little bit and so by the time everything gets toward the shore, we may lose a lot of the heating of the day. that's why the threat is bigger in pennsylvania than at the jersey shore. lo
