they are not saying much about him other than that he is a 56 year-old man that jasmine wright knew, this coming just two days after her body was found in her west philadelphia apartment. >> we struck up a conversation one time when she first moved in. she was pleasant. she was love and peace. >> reporter: a teddy bear hangs to the door to the apartment where jasmine wright was found dead thursday afternoon. news that detectives, now have a person of interest is a welcome development for those living on the 200 block of south 50th street. >> i hope the detective are doing their job whatever just hope they panned out that is all because she didn't deserve it. >> reporter: wright recently graduated from drexel university school of public health, her body was found after her father a had trouble contacting her and asked the property manager to check her apartment. police say wright was beaten and strangled and may have men her attacker since there were no signs of forced entry. at police headquarters investigators confirmed they have questioned a 56 year-old man that wright knew. meanwh

and she knew jim wright and knew speaker wright's family. and i said, you know, larry told a friend of mine that he ran into -- that you taught him how to box. and i said, is that true? and speaker wright began to tell me the story about how his mother thought that maybe he needed to get back to his texas roots and have a little bit more texas upbringing in him. and so she sent him back to weatherford texas, with his dad and speaker wright taught him how to box. and that was how larry learned how to become a boxer. you know, one of the areas that speaker wright and nancy pelosi talked about it a lot, how he was a big influence in my life and so many others. and i would be remiss if i did not mention some of the former members that also he was very influential in their lives. congressman martin frost, who was the ranking member of the rules committee. speaker wright was very -- very very influential in getting him on the rules committee. his freshman year in office. and also secretary pete garren, a former member of congress and secretary of

bud wright, a lot there, i will let you comment. guest: i'm probably not the right person to talk about the defense budget, because back to the point that i was trying to make earlier which is that there are a lot of competing needs at the federal level. transportation has had a dedicated source of revenue for a long time. it has kind of state out of that fray. i think as we look to the long-term, to the approaches that we hope we would be utilizing, that we would not be income petition for other needs. that is certainly an important responsibility for the federal government. those are the battles that will continue to be fought. we would hope that we could get transportation out of that cycle, rely on sustainable long-term servi sources, things that are not competing for resources for other federal priorities. host: as we noted in our first segment, the highway trust fund debate is now being tied up with the debate over the export-import bank. here is a piece from stephen moore in the commentary section of "the washington times" to
