the s&p kay schiller index pointing to solid growth across the country.ay area prices in june did not grow quite as fast as they did in may. but still up almost 10% from a year earlier second only to denver. let's look at the big board see how we're doing. we are doing better dow up almost 300 points. back over 16,000. nasdaq up 107. s&p up 38 points. a lot of silicon valley companies doing a lot better today including apple. back to you guys. >> jason, do you think that the volatility in the stock market is going to affect real estate prices in the bay area? >> reporter: that takes a little longer to impact. we have to separate this. a lot of people make comparisons to the financial crisis in the market drops. this is different. the financial crisis was precipitated by the housing market. so as long as companies maintain what they are doing a 10% stock drop won't kill them and people will have jobs. they are going to want homes and real estate could continue to grow. prices have gone up so much in the past couple of years, it will probably cool off. >> t
