welcome to loyola. i'm a junior at loyola and i was wondering when i talk to loyola students and talk about immigration in arizona a lot of them say it's a federal issue and i was wondering have you seen or heard of any action on the other side coming from the state level? i don't see a 1070 being repealed but are there any statewide initiatives were congress particularly how the voter would want to -- to citizenship. >> the dispute between the state and federal government goes back to the civil war really and arizona was -- sb 1070 that the federal government was not doing its job and they were just obeying federal law by creating a law. s.b. 1070 would allow them to enforce federal law arguing that the federal law, the federal government was not and most of the provisions of s.b. 1070 were turned over. the provision that still exists if an officer stops a person for another reason he or she can't stop a person because they say that looks like a mexican or oh i heard them speaking spanish. that's illeg
