meghan fitzgerald has the latest on when the changes could be taking place. >> reporter: metro is calling it a 7-day security details. it means the bus won't be stopping on elvins road any time after 7:00 p.m. this took effect as of yesterday. we had an opportunity to speak with neighbors who say it's not fair but bus operators say it's their lives on the line. for many folks, the bus is the safest and most efficient way to get from place to place. >> i catch the bus every day. >> i take the wa and 94 on a regular basis. >> reporter: on monday night, neighbors who take the bus was put on notice. buses won't be stopping here after 7:00 p.m. the metro says it's a matter of safety in fact on friday night, someone shot at a bus on the 2400 block of elvans road. a passenger was struck. a few hours later in the same area, rocks were thrown at a bus. this woman understands the concerns but doesn't think the 7:00 p.m. suspension is fair. >> it's not appropriate. it's not helpful to people who don't have anything to do with it. >> reporter: bus operators have a different perspective. your scared.

meghan fitzgerald was there. tell us what happened. >> reporter: you hit the nail on the head when you said it was a dramatic scene inside that crowded courtroom. a judge denied bond first, to former fairfax county police officer adam torres, and, again, he didn't show any sort of emotional state or any warning signs. it was then when the judge set a trial date for december 14th that adam torres fainted in court. if you take a look, you can see first responders on scene. they rushed inside to assist the former officer that fainted. it was about 30 minutes ago that they rushed inside to assist the former officer, facing a second degree murder charge. he didn't appear to show any signs of emotion until that moment. during court today, his attorney argued that the judge should set bond for him because he has roots in the community and doesn't pose a threat to anyone. the prosecution says he's a danger to the community because it was two years that he said he shot and killed john geer who had his hands up. this start
