nina easton, jamie weinstein.na: lawmakers hard at work on capitol hill debating a pair of anti-abortion bills one of which would defund planned parenthood after undercover videos showed officials discussing the harvesting of body parts from aborted fetuses. doug mckelway has the details. >> with only five legislative days left before funding for the federal government runs out, congress is again wrangling over who would take the potential blame for any government shutdown, and a key part of this debate is this fight over planned parenthood funding. and especially these horrific videos which have recently surfaced. some conservatives in the house remain intent on attaching a rider to any continuing resolution to fund the government that would defund planned parenthood. the gop leadership is warning them not to do that. in fact, in a closed door meeting yesterday, they produced some internal polling documentation that said republicans would, indeed, take the blame for any government shutdown should it happen. meanw

joining us, senior editor, jamie weinstein. thank you for being here. >> thank you for having me. >> people wonder why the link or the tie to the fallout over john boehner to a candidate like jeb bush? but there are those who say that because of the situation, people who come out more on the moderate side or are perceived as the establishment may not fare very well going forward at this point. >> it's certainly interesting. i don't think the boehner kind of resignation is something new. but it is, i think, a manifestation of what we've been seeing kind of this entire campaign and really, for the last several cycles. you have an angry grassroots conservative base. the vocal activist base angry at what they term the establishment, which would be john boehner and in many cases which is strange, jeb bush, one of the most conservative governors in the country when he was a governor but now perceived as part of the establishment. and these are kind of the angst of their, the fire is directed at these people. so kind of what we've see

jenna: we have a political reporter for the daily beast, jamie wine steer with the daily caller. -- weinsteinh the daily caller. he didn't say trump directly. betsy, is this all about donald trump? >> in a way, i think you can argue that. one thing that we looked at is the support that walker had among talk radio hosts, particularly rush limbaugh. limbaugh talked up walker for months. he loved him. he thought he was great. and then when trump came onto the scene, walker kind of got displaced. he was sort of shuffled to the bottom of the pack. he went from being a hero to a me too, that's the actual term, me too, that limbaugh used to talk about him. trump sucks up all the energy, and next to his glamorous and bombastic possessor that wouldty, scott walker started looking drab. jenna: jamie, do you feel the same way about his fashion and otherwise?
