they don't want the moderators asking gotcha questions or pit the candidates against one another and make sure that they are all getting equal time. of course, jeb bush's campaign strategists were very upset about the little amount of time that he got in wednesday night's debate. >> one of his campaign aide workers were being noiknocking doors of the control room. >> that's right. >> after last night's performance, a lot of people are talking about campaign death watch. what's he saying about it? >> reporter: he's saying that's absolutely not the case. in fact, he was asked the question, what do you say to the criticisms that your campaign is on life support? that's when he answered it's not on life support. at the same time, don, he's very aware of the disappointment and concern that some of the donors are feeling. in fact, we understand from sources who talked to cnn's john king and dana bash that he actually had a donor call today and it wasn't something that he did on the fly. he didn't do this on the run. he sat down, one source tells dana bash, and made this call very deliberat
