this does appear to be on our records, it was constructed in 1978 as a two-unit building. the zoning is rh2 which would allow a maximum of 2 units and it would have been rh2 since 19 78. since that time no third unit would have been able to be added legally. there is a klek lift and review process for that to ensure there are certain requirements that would be met. if they do go ahead and remove the unit now they cannot restore it and try to legalize it later, they would lose that opportunity by removing it now, which would be their choice. the planning department reviewed this, approved it, there is no bbn note is on the property at the time that we did review it, there's no notification requirement. subsequent to the issuance of this permit a bbn request was made on the property so that would be applicable for future permits reviewed by the planning department. there is pending legislation i believe at the board of supervisors that would require notification for removal of illegal units. it seems to be both a planning and building notice process so there could be discreti
