chris miles joining us now. a bit of a sad day for hokies. >> it was sad, but also good, because frank beamer coached his final game in blacksburg today. there was a lot to play for, for virginia tech with a win, the hokies could become bowl eligible for the 23rd consecutive season. that's the longest active streak in the country. like you said, the end of an era after 29 long seasons, beamer's last touch at the stadium. had a hard time stopping this guy, unc quarterback maurkice williams rumbles 18 yards for the score. early 7-0 for the hokies. second half, tar hills up 10-3. ties the ball game up at 10 a piece. fourth quarter, tar heels go to elijah hood. had himself a day, 115 yards, two touchdowns. unc takes a commanding 24-10 lead. hokies claim back into it, less than two minutes at that play. brewer ties for that tie at 24. so we go into overtime. williams finds quinnshaw davis. they fall 30-27. but can't take beamer down in his final game in blacksburg. he gets the championship treatment and also a moment to reflect. >> i really think about it. i'll be honest with you. not so much. this is the last game here
