hopkins is just one of who you will see inside macy's windows featuring adoptable windows. welcome to everybody. >> thank you for having us. >> tell us a little bit about hopkins and does he represent what people can see when they come to the windows? >> hopkins is two years old. he's been with us almost a month and a half. he's a small dog. we generally have puppies and kitten kittens. >> how does it work? people see the animals and decide what they want to do. what's the process? the animals will be in the windows. people see them. if they see someone they like, they will talk to a volunteer greeter who is standing outside and the volunteer greeter will let them know which animal it is and they will come inside and we have an adoption profile. we generally recommend everyone in the familile come to meet the animals, make sure everybody is on the same page. people who adopt have to be at least 18 years or older. >> mm-hmm. >> then we go through the animal history, medical records. we go through some behavior kounsling if needed. if you are a new pet owner, that's all right
