it's not possible to mitigate that type of thing. i think that the petition clearly shows that the city of san francisco would like to foreclosure othe -- explore other options that would not involve a hotel. we have the opportunity here to do the right thing for the history and the arts of the city. let's not sell out to extreme commercialism and real estate greed that's crippling the city. >> thank you. >> good morning. we all know that the palace of fine arts is one of the oldest and most beloved historical inventory eyes in our -- venues in our city. it will be a crime for this to be disturbed, demolished or changed especially as dramatically as the concept of some sort of hotel. as a 23 year marine at resident, business owner and a preschool teacher, i feel very strongly that the palace must be preserved so the young people here and visitors from the world can continue to enjoy and learn in this historical setting. i have been fortunate enough to work at the palace, dance on the stage, be a member of a san francisco based halal.
