i'm here now with april tidwell... i'll have more the plainview music boosters are holding a "play it forward instrument drive." the nebraska school asks that you help keep music education alive by donating gently used instruments to the plainview band program. the school's band equipment is 20 to 30 years old. the band room has a closet full of instruments that need at least $8,000 in repair. the students are unable to compete in music competitions because their instruments are considered faulty. "i have been having problems with the third button, it sticks a lot but i enjoy playing it. this baritone is pretty old, but i've gotten to know it. i wouldn't mind getting a new one." for those who want to donate, they can drop off their old instruments at plainview public high school, or by contacting the music booster president. the school also accepts monetary donations. typically, off-year elections don't garner a lot of community involvement. but, we do have some contested races and important measures throughout siouxla
