we can see the blacktop. plows just went through this stretch here by allston/brighton. let's get to the maps and see the rest of your ride. north of town we're dealing with lots of problems. watching two jack-knifed tractor if you're heading that way toward the lowell connector only the breakthrough lane getting by right now. expect a slow ride there. a couple of accidents reported along 128 from reading as you travel down toward lexington and toward route 2. we have a few problem spots there. also watching a spinout on 495 by center street and another accident 9 south by route 16. south of town a few problems as well. 24 northbound a crash by route 27. another accident route 3 north by derby street. and a slow ride on the pike. you really want to be careful and let those crews get out there and clean those roads if you don't have to head out right now. trains and buses for now on schedule. erika, antoinette. erika: thanks so much. a mix of snow and sleet making the commute a lot more difficult for many of you this morning. antoinette: the eyeopener's doug meehan is on

as you can see, lot of reflection off the street here off the blacktop here in allentown, that just shows you how wet these roads are. we have seen ponding on the way up here, on the extension, as well as highways up here in the allentown area. so be careful, especially now that it is still dark outside to make sure you're being careful and taking it easy out here on the road. we do know even though right now there is not so much of ice we're seeing or sleet, just rain, that penndot has been ready, they did spend time in 12-hour shift over the past day or so, brining roads in case it did get hazardous out here. still may see some trucks on the ready along the highways and the roads, just in case, to take care of the street, as they become hazardous. so right now, seeing much more of a heavy and steady rain event out here in allentown. not too many people up and about at this time. but when they do wake up, and hit the street, they will find the roads are pretty slick, pretty wet in part, the cars right now are navigating and so far so well. but as more people wake up, and hit the roads, w
