at alpine meadows... colin lygren... kolo 8 news now. a major rockslide closed one of the most-used enterances, to yosemite national park. the rocks came down early yesterday morning, onto highway 1-40--- between el portal, and yosemite valley. park rangers say the burn scar left by the 2014 dog rock fire, left the hillside primed for a slide. visitors who wanted to get into the park, faced a 3-hour detour to get to the park's south entrance. "we're upset because tomorrow's our last day and we really wanted to see this." nobody was injured in the rock slide. the park service says, it doesn't know when the road will reopen. ### it's recommended more than 14-thousand acres of nevada land be sold to the bureau of land management. the nevada appeal reports the area known as "bently land" in the pine nut mountains was nominated by gardnerville firm: legacy land and water. the land is worth about eleven-and-a-half million dollars. acres of the land are located in sage grouse habitat. if acquired by the b-l-m, it would consolidate federal manag

the school is moving to a bigger lot on alpine road. in its place, charleston developer the beach company plans to build retail the planning commission opened the discussion to the public and then approved it by a 5-1 vote, although some neighbors are worried the project could bring more traffic.
