what does chief chitwood say? >> the city is working with coming up with 100 beds and a temporary shelter. once the beds are ready and a location is determined for the shelter, he says they can start moving these folks who have started to camp out outside the volusia county administration center. you can see just how many there are, too. the number continues to grow. it appears they could be on their way out. this problem all week. it started as just a few homeless outside the building but the number has continue to grow over the last week or so. it's gotten to the point now where county employees have refused to come to work, but there really isn't anything they can do. officials can't move them because it would be a violation of their rights because there isn't a shelter in place for them to go. but according to chief chitwood, that's all about to change. >> the objective is to solve this problem. city manager's been working very hard to solve it and we talked to mike and we think if it we can coming up with 100

the video shows chief mike chitwood' s vehicle to the left of the suspect vehicle trying to get the suspect to stop. instead, officials say the suspect passed the chief, then deliberately veered into him, side-swiping chitwood' s vehicle . juveniles were caught a short time later after they allegedly crashed into an innocent motorist' s car. jim: a woman who says she was raped by a former pedi-cab driver in daytona beach nearly two years ago, took the stand at his trial today. we are not identifying the victim but in court, she pointed to 29-year-old george brainard as the man who dragged her into some woods near the speedway following a race. the victim says some of the details are fuzzy because she was drunk and had smoked marijuana. she testified she doesn' t remember getting into the pedicab, but remembers brainard pulling her out by the leg and raping her. >> i was squirming, i was trying to get away. >> how were you trying to get away? >> i was trying to crawl away from him. jim: brainard' s defense attorneys say the two had sex, but that it was consensual. they say the victim called
