the closest right now is clemente. of the hurdles, for a long time there is a natural conflict between my book and what the clemente family wanted to do, now that has been overtaken. legendary, the company that did the jackie robinson movie in 42 is doing clemente, josÉ rivera who wrote the screenplay for motorcycle diaries is writing a screenplay for clemente. it all started when giselle fernandez, who had been a tv newsperson bought the right. she lives in los angeles, she is latina, she left the book, she bought the rights and that was what got the ball rolling many years ago. now it's closer to fruition than ever. lombardi is also owned by a legendary and that might happen. my latest book, once in a great city, i don't know how i'm supposed to talk about things that have not been signed yet but it looks like anthony pertain may do a documentary with me about it. two production companies in hollywood are interested in making a possible limited tv series. all of that is happening. my favorite book has always been mar

he's charged with killing two people in a car crash on new years eve..local 12's adam clements joins us live from the kenton county courthouse with why mark huffman is just 3 bob.. for the past several weeks.. 57 year old mark huffman has been receiving medical treatment for the injuries he sustained in that collision.. he's finally been released from the hospital.. and he'll be in court this morning at 8..let me take you back to that night.. as i said.. new year's eve..huffman was headed northbound on kentucky highway 17.. he was trying to turn onto madison pike/pelly road.. but failed to negotiate that turn..he ended up driving into the southbound lane and hit a car head on..inside that car.. 24 year old ella mcnay.. and 31 year old david mcnay..ella died at the scene.. david was airlifted to the u-c medical center.. where he later died.. mark huffman suffered some pretty serious injuries.. he was listed in critical condition.. but again.. has made a recovery..if huffman is convicted of the murder 50 years in prison for each count..reporting live in clements.. local 12 news.. 3 loc

tom clements was murdered at his home in march of 2013. evan eble shot him. he died in the shoot-out with police in texas. now one of eble's associates is doc employee. vida urbonas is here with more. >> reporter: good morning. that suspected accomplice is 34-year-old thomas guolee. this morning, as you mentioned, he is accused of targeting another doc employee trying to break into a house that belongs corrections employee. now, guolee is in the hospital. he has been arrested after that attempted burglary and shoot- out with police in the springs. the night of december 30th. el paso county deputies were called out to a report of a burglary in progress in the 2400 block of sierra springs drive around 9:00. on the police scanners the reporting party told 911 the suspect was trying to get in the home. the video shows the suspect approaching the house, then leaving, then approaching again. >> someone trying to get in. they have a vehicle up against the garage. >> reporter: just minutes later the suspect started shooting. there was a chase and a crash. >> shots fi

so both cases went up to the supreme court, and unfortunately for poor lawrence, the clement case wasgranted and not ours. but we know that our lawsuit, along with getting all of these states to join, you know, how hard it is to get granted. it was that combination that got this case granted. so having that type of thinker, that appellate-minded thinker that can, for us -- and this just may surprise you guys. if you're the lawyer for the department of education in our state, you were the lawyer, whether it was looking at a contract or whether it was litigation. if your litigation went to the nevada supreme court and somehow to the u.s. supreme court, that lawyer stayed on that case. as you can imagine, that was not acceptable for me. that's just not the way we were going to continue doing work. so making sure that we have a solicitor's office that's now engaged at the beginning of these tough cases to make sure we're setting ourselves up for the long run has already been very big for our office. and quickly, we have a new deputy solicitor, and he left from gibson to dunn in san franci
