the clemson tigers are ringing in the new year as orange bowl champions! the team beat the oklahoma sooners on new years eve 37 to 17. he tigers are now headed to the national championship game with an undefeated record. head coach dabo swinney says the team is enjoying their big win and are of course looking forward to the national championship. the team will play alabama on january 11th in glendale, arizona. a lawyer for medal of honor recipient kyle carpenter is defending carpenter from accusations of hit and run. carpenter was arrested for an incident on december 8th in which police say carpenter hit a man walking at assembly and left the scene. carpenter's lawyer released a statement saying carpenter didn't think the man was hurt. columbia police say carpenter pulled over and turned on his hazard lights, but didn't get out of his vehicle or give help. the pedestrian was treated for injuries to his leg. carpenter received the medal of honor in june 2014 for his actions to save marines from an explosion in afghanistan. authorities are investigating why a
