so the conversation leading up to tonight's budget proposal focused on cutting extracurricular activities and sports for students. now the focus for protestors and also the school's top boss is to get more money from the state and county to save the programs and also much of the focus is on retaining good teachers by offering them hire salaries. now, the latter, of course, costs a significant a.m. of money. we're talking about $40 million. that's what's slated in this budget presented today. part of the reason the superintendent was able to propose the budget without cuts is slowing degree. at night's meeting dr. garza slowing growth there was no additional proposal for funding. that safes the district $20 million i wish this was done last year. you know my feeling from last year. you should have asked for the whole thing last year. election year, i don't use thats a an excuse. please get out of the politics and let them do the business. you fight for us parents and students and put a true budget up each year. if they don't fund the budget it looks like dr. garza might have to resort to s
