south carolinians could receive part of 10-million dollars in aid. the funding reportedly comes from the agency's individuals and households program for people ina areas declared a president. eligibility is based on damage that fema has fema says it has approved 84-million dollars in grants for south carolina flood victims. for 3 years -- drivers along parts of interstate 26 have encountered construction as crews widen the roadway. it extends from i-77 toward orangeburg...and was to be completed a couple months ago. michal higdon has an update on the project. :01 :17 :48 1:03 i spoke with the scdot engineer heading this project, allen thompson, who saysyshe project at this point is 90 percent complete. a majority of the construction is taking place at night on the road itself and there is still work to do on the shoulder in both directions. once shoulder-work is done, thompson says all lanes will be open to use. crews are widening i-26 from 4-lanes to 6-lanes from i-77 toward charleston for about 10 miles, and then from opened up all three of those l
