burton has pending charges in pitt county -- but was in washington county court for a probation violation. all 17 miners are now safe and sound -- after being rescued from an upstate new york salt mine. the elevator in the mine shaft stopped working just before midnight at cargill salt mine in lansing. the miners were trapped overnight 900 feet below ground. officials say all 17 are in good health and no one was hurt. french authorities say a man officials say the man had wires protruding from his clothes and what appeared to be fake explosives. officials said the man cried out "god is great" in arabic. the northern paris neighborhood is on lockdown-- and police are investigating the incident as a potential act of 65 people were killed in a truck bombing at a police training center in the town of zliten in libya. this is east of tripoli. around 400 people, mostly police officers, were gathered for morning assembly when a truck plowed into the facility and exploded. no group immediately claimed responsibility for the attack. vice president joe biden is going to the public with his support

the washington county supervisors will discuss the proposal next tuesday. today a black hawk county man pleaded guilty to a federal charge of receipt of child pornography. 34 year old robert turner of reinbeck admitted he had at least seven thousand images and 23 videos of child porn on his computer. he said he received sexually explicit pictures of children under age 12 from august 2001 to august 2013. turner faces five to 20 years in prison. seen fake 100- dollar bills show up at area businesses over the past week or so. this comes just a day after iowa city police said they've also found several counterfeit bills. iowa city police showed us examples of the fake money. identify a phony bill, such as with a black lieutenant mike brotherton says you can also use special pens with ink that turns brown on fake money, and yellow on real money. this man faces charges for a fatal crash last july in washington county. jorge noivo of fairfield yesterday for vehicular homicide and involuntary manslaughter. the state patrol says noivo lost control of his vehicle on highway 218, it rolled over into a ditch. the passenger, 24-year-old wendy littrell. working to gap in the district. tonight, the school board talked with parents and the community about improving education for all students. the board gave an update about its equity efforts and listened to suggestions. the school district says it has hired a consultant to walk through schools and inclusive. " 21:12:00 we're focusing on finding the best learning for each individual student. so we're moving away the out of the box model that every student has to learn the same. that can be cost effective but not what's best for each student." last school year, federal investigators visited the district because of allegations schools were punishing black students more harshly than white. the district has since then focused money and energy on changing its disc
