wis' billie jean shaw has more on what the sanders campaign says they have to do over the next two weeks. it's the vote of the young people, african-americans and those who are working minimum wage jobs that senator sanders is counting on to win the state primary. today i sat down with hamilton grant, who works for the sanders campaign. over the next 16 days he says south carolinians should expect to see a "boots on the ground strategy" from the vermont senator. he says sanders will travel throughout the state communities. but the strongest fight between the two democratic candidates is for the african-american vote. and the latest nbc poll shows sanders still has a long way to go in that area, trailing clinton 17 to 74 percent. i asked grant what will attract black voters in this state to sanders over clinton. "i think when you look at his track record of how he marched with dr. king and how he stood with students in chicago who wanted to integrate dorms and his record in that instance. i think it speaks to the notion that he's not new to racial inequality and racial reform. we have to

wis' billie jean shaw spoke with state election officials about the options you have. judi and charles, a spokesman for the state elections commission says those who do not have a photo id can vote by casting a provisional ballot. once at your polling place, you will be asked to provide your voter registration card. here is a sample of how it looks, you received this card when you registred to vote. net you'll fill out this affidavit giving a valid reason on why you were unable to get a photo id. form including an illness, lack of transportation and family responsibilities. om there, county election will approve your vote. our billie jean shaw was in clarendon today to get an update on the recovery process. there's still work to be done on clarendon county, most of them in manning. the county administrator tells me not all of the them have major damage but crews are working as fast as possible to get them repaired. the county has hired a private contractor to assist the public works department in fixing the roads. a county official tells me repairing heavily traveled roads is top priority now and then crews will work their way out to less traveled areas. as far as cost, i'm told the county, just like the entire state, did not foresee the flood "we're having to spend unbudgeted funds to try to pay for the repairs. obvioioly we are working very closely with the contractors and our staff to ensure that we are meeting fema requirements so we can try to receive our reimbursement from fema." david epperson says fema will cover 75 percent of the cost. i also checked in with scdot- 8 state roads that still need to be fixed. in the newsroom, bjs, wis news 10. when it comes to the forestry industr

our billie jean shaw spoke with him a short time ago in an exclusive interview. today, bernie sanders picked up another endorsement, this time from prominent african- american film director spike lee. in a house divided, lee's wife says she is backing hillary clinton, which may has more work to do to attract support from african-american women. a recent poll shows clinton has a double digit lead over sanders when it comes to support from black women. there are nearly 100- thousand more african- american women than men of voting age, and that demographic, specifically older women are backing clinton. sanders tells me he is working on pulling that support due to several issues black women are facing.
