. >> with strawberry season upon us i want to share my strawberry gelato recipe with you.o make a strawberry jam. remember when you get your nice strawberries, nice and ripe. you want to clean it. use the tip of your knife. just get the greenery away and pull it out. that stem comes out. get rid of that. there is no favors adding to it. slice them up. this recipe calls for 1 pint of strawberries. you will get 10 ounces of clean strawberries. after this recipe 1 pint of chopped strawberries, one half cup sugar and 2 teaspoons lemon juice. we will put this mixture on the heat. you can put this on medium high heat if you want. sugar will pull the moisture out of the strawberries and will make a nice syrup. lemon juice enhances fresh flavor and it often to activate the nice thick jam from this. this jam, end up if you don't want to use it in your ice cream, it is excellent for your toast and you have homemade jam. no preservatives. i will let this cook, medium to high heat. stirring occasionally. there is not much chance of it score muching because of the liquid in there. you

we have a nice strawberry glaze we'll make. take a store bought cake. cut it out. place this in the jar. and then we layer, with whipped cream, it is yummy when it comes >> so what we start with is the strawberry glaze. we are going to mash some frozen or fresh strawberries in a pan we'll heat it up on medium heat. we'll mash them down to where they become a pulp. we'll add in a tablespoon of butter and half a cup of sugar. that's all going to melt down together. it is going to get translouis sent and thicken up when we add our corn starch. it is simple. you add it all -- mash it in, heat it up. when it comes down, you come out with something that looks like this. this is the glaze that we have that we had into the the layers of the trifle. >> there are only four or five ingredients, a slury of corn starch, strawberries, butter and sugar. >> right. what kind of cake to you like? chocolate cake? >> i'm a big chocolate person. i'm a shockaholic. trifle typically takes a sponge cake but you can use your imagination. any flavors. i have this cream cheese, you can do th

he grows coriander, strawberries, green onions and flowers. none of his produce has been shipped to market yet. the current crops are on trial runs to find out which will earn the best profit. he regularly visits the mongolian state university of agriculture. he goes there to get advice on different varieties to cultivate in winter and cultivation methods. this professor is his adviser. she's been researching vegetable cultivation in cold climates for more than 15 years. an important part of her work is cross-breeding different varieties to try and develop suitable new crops. the university has an experimental farm located nearby. the new strains the professor produces in the lab and crops she gets from overseas are cultivated in the winter greenhouses to see if they'll grow. she's currently trying out four types of vegetables, including spinach and spring onions. >> altants plans to spend the winter carefully assessing the best produce to grow. ago. after studying botany at university he became an instructor for a government youth development
