>> reporter: right, wolf. most interesting things happening over the last couple weeks or so, really, since iowa. the clinton campaign has been aggressively working behind the scenes for one purpose today, to get paid time off for casino workers to be able to actually participate today. they were successful in at least six caucuses up and down that las vegas strip. they were unsuccessful in other places. if you're a casino worker who works at a venetian or palazza, no time out. at the wynn or oncencore, to ti off. some people are not able to participate today because they are working this shift, but the clinton campaign worked hard behind the scenes with casino owners to try and get paid time off so these caucus workers could actually -- so the hotel workers, excuse me, could actually go caucus today. so the number of people who turn out today will be key based on that. this is all because of eight years ago the union, that represents all the hotel workers, endorsed barack obama. they declined to endorse this

wolf, here's the key. if donald trump is to be defeated, it has to be a two-man race between ted cruz, not marco rubio or anyone else, but ted cruz and donald trump. our polling and other polling shows that if ted were out of the race 75% of ted cruz voter goes to donald trump. so if ted were to be out of the race and there's this big movement, wolf, from the establishment for marco or john kasich, what they don't understand or don't want to actually believe is that if that were to happen they actually hand it to donald trump on a silver platter when you take 75% of the cruz support. the only person who can defeat donald trump is ted cruz. and the sooner that marco and kasich and carson move out and make it a two-man race, where then donald has to get 50% which he's failed to do anywhere, he's hit a ceiling, then it's a different race. and ted cruz can win this nomination. i believe if that happens, he will. >> because rubio is presumably going to stay in at least until march 15th. that's when his home sta
