in hernando county, eight families are back in their homes this morning after crews fixed a gas leak from an underground pipe. it happened just after five sunday afternoon at killian street in spring hill. thankfully, no one was hurt as crews worked to fix the leak. a disturbing story out of pennsylvania this morning. an investigation is underway after a retired state trooper killed a turnpike toll collector and a guard during an attempted robbery. police say clarence briggs went up to the two victims at a toll plaza and forced them in a nearby building. he tried to tie them up, but they got loose and followed him outside. police say briggs then shot and killed them. he then started shooting at an armored truck, until the driver got out and ran away. briggs ended up driving a few miles before troopers caught up with him and shot and killed him. turnpike workers there say they are focused on healing. police say briggs retired from the state police in years of service. people in louisiana now have more to worry about after that historic rainfall.. some of the runoff is running from som
