cbs4's joan murray is live at the health center. joan, what do we know about the victim and how he is doing? >> reporter: well, what a dramatic time for this victim. he was rushed here to the medical center bleeding from his neck and his arm and that robber is still on the run. >> i called -9d 11. >> reporter: working the overnight shift, this worker has seen some unusual things, but the scariest was this monday morning when a man rushed in bleeding and crying. >> i asked him what happened because i am dying. >> reporter: minutes before, he was parked near this atm. the robber came up to him and slashed him several times and took off. >> he was bleeding so much. there was a lot of blood. >> reporter: you see on the surveillance, the victim goes outside to wait for the paramedics. >> he is too close to home, now. >> reporter: this couple lives near the bank in the neighborhood. >> i have never heard of anyone there with a knife, but i have heard of people getting robbed. >> don't go at night, and always be aware of your surroundings.

joan murray is live in lauderhill. you spoke with the supervisor of elections. what did she tell you?>> she says it's already starting to be a very busy season. this is also a place where people can drop off mail and ballots. you can see the winter set up for them. it's expected to be a smooth process.>> research indicates that when the voters are interested in issues, you're going to have a higher turnout. voting in broward saturday. countywide where voters can voter registration has increased, so has the number people who changed affiliation in preparation for this primary.>> we had a little over 5000 changes in the last year and moving closer to the numbers. it was definitely up. early voting has been underway since monday.>> i believe in voting every process. i like to come to get it out of the way.>> reporter: now the race begins in early in broward. voting goes through sunday, march 13.>> what will the turnout be? >> i think it will be record turnout compared to how primaries vote. i don't think it will be record turnout compared to a general election.>> r

joan murray is live there with more. >> reporter: good afternoon. what a rough day it's been for everyone at the trotting center. this is the barn where the horses were kept. many were getting ready to terribly overnight. it was a devastating fire. 12 trapped horses perished in the blaze at the south florida trotting center in suburban lake worth. eleven horses made it out alive and of those, two were critically hurt. firefighters were injured. >> ann mar marie daley had no comment. >> they're mostly three-year- olds in training the to become super champions. >> it's an all purpose equine facility that performs full equine therapy. >> the south florida trotting center talks about horses being raised to compete in harness racing. smoke. the fire was at the end. we were trying to let the animals loose. it happened so quick. >> jamie daley and her fiance they saw the smoke in flames and tried to rescue some of the hours. >> the fire was down there, but the snaps were on fire. so by the time i got the third one out, the roof collapsed. on this side the
