we're going to start with kerry sanders. he's live now outside the jupiter, florida police department with what we know about the charges against corwin lewandowski. kerry? >> reporter: first of all, a lot of people are wondering, was this an arrest? according to the terminology in the state of florida, indeed, cory lewandowski was arrested. he turned himself in here today. police say they did not put handcuffs on him, and now he's left and he will have to have an appearance in court. that's when he'll be arraigned. at that moment when he is actually there, it will be the first time that prosecutors really begin to look through the evidence, so it's possible at that point they may look at this and say, you know what? the jupiter police department found that they thought there was enough evidence to bring a charge, but the state attorney's office doesn't see that there is enough here to take it any further, and it could be dismissed at that point. or it's possible that it could go on further. let's take it if it goes all wait

i want to go to our colleague, kerry sanders. he is in jupiter, florida.s katy was pointing out, it was march 19, the night of super tuesday in florida when donald trump secured that state. marco rubio dropped out. corwin lewandowski was next to him. he heralded his work. but there was an active investigation going on at the time by the police department. what do you know about this? >> they started investigating when they got that surveillance video, so it was four days after the alleged incident happened. you were asking whether the trump campaign reviewed their own tape. we don't know if they reviewed it or not, but we do know they didn't erase anything, because it was the police investigating in jupiter who went and actually obtained that videotape. in fact, according to the arrest affidavit, it says they went to the trump security at trump national in jupiter, and that's where they got the videotape, and that's what they reviewed. we have not seen the videotape. but here is the question i think a lot of people are asking now is, what happens next? so

kerry sanders is here in cleveland covering donald trump. kerry, he says don't look at him. he's not to blame for any of the violence that breaks out at his rallies. tell us a little bit about the mood and what he had to say there today. >> reporter: the fire department here in cleveland estimates there were about 7,000 people here at the center. and it was a raucous crowd. they seemed to enjoy every moment of what donald trump had to say. there were about five or maybe six moments where there were some small outbursts of protesters trying to disrupt. at times, donald trump said get him out of here and used the kind of language we heard. other times he said ignore them. one time he said in a bernie person. making reference to the fact that in chicago, some of those who were there were bernie sanders supporters. now, at the end of the day what donald trump here said was directly distantly himself from having any responsibility of what happened in chicago in terms of violence. and telling his supporters that they're on the right side. >> i saw hillary clinton saying on the way

nbc's kerry sanders is live in cleveland, ohio, where trump is scheduled to hold a rally next hour.en talking to people in line. what are we anticipating there? >> reporter: well, they're anticipating that donald trump will come in and probably address what happened in chicago as well as talk about why they need to go to the polls, why he wants their support. it's a very supportive crowd, as is always the case with donald trump rallies. the folks that you see here, take a look at how large the crowd is here. they started showing up here about 4 1/2, 5 hours before the scheduled event, which is at 2:00, an hour from now, but we do know that donald trump will be late. meantime, because of what happened in chicago, a lot of cameras and a lot of attention on protesters at this event. you can see outside here just a small number of people who set up outside on the way in with their signs, telling us mostly that they do not plan to come inside. after what happened in chicago, do you fear standing here protesting, and do you plan to go inside? >> we don't plan to go inside and we're not af
