brush fire battle is going on right now and already, several good evening, i' meredith: i' m meredith mcdonough. chopper 2 has been over the scene for a little over an hour. we' re hearing that some homes are being evacuated. jim: wesh 2' s dan billow just arrived on scene. dan, you' ve been speaking to firefighters. what are they telling you? dan: they are telling us they feel better about the fire right now. getting the upper hand on it. we look live from chopper 2, you can see every person they can come up with an every crew they can come up with in the area of san felipe oh. they are standing near the cap the houses. jim: so we have lost dan billow. the bottom line on all of this, firefighters believe they have this fire mostly contained. for homes that been damaged -- a they are not sure if they are going to do that. almost the exact same thing happened in 2008. 26 homes burned in a series of wildfires, weather conditions were much more extreme. this makes lighting fires in the area very difficult because of how it is laid out. you can see the lay of the land, it works against firefighters

i'm summer knowles meredith: i' m meredith mcdonough. tonight, two men are accused of raping that helpless woman after picking her up outside a bar across the street from ucf. wesh 2' s bob kealing investigated the case and joins us live from outside the knight' s pub. bob, did she know these suspects? bob: apparently not. three sources tell wesh 2 these men were strangers who took this young woman, this is back in december and it took a while for investigators to develop probable cause in this case. when she was separated from -- from her friends, she was taken to a motel and the men started assaulting her. orange county detectives say this man 23-year-old eric guzman and an accomplice 23-year-old sean noel, posted images of themselves sexually assaulting a woman they had just met earlier re charged with sexual battery on the physically helpless. bob: it was december 18. according to invetigators, the victim had gone to the knight' s pub across from the ucf campus to celebrate her 21st birthday. after a night of drinking, she became sep

meredith: and i' m meredith mcdonough. chopper 2 arrived on scene at the home on doris avenue after taveres police found the body of rosemary getz. jim: chris hush is live at the scene. police say the couple had made a suicide pact? chris: with in the past 45 they are extensively interviewing this elderly man, accused of shooting his longtime companion. that is just one of many things he has told police so far. crime scene tape is still around the house. and 80 eat your portman test and 88-year-old woman was found shot to death. around 2:00, a family member of the victim called police with concerns for 88-year-old rosemary getz. when they arrived, they were able to stop the shooter, 89-year-old paul laying from shooting himself. i asked what prompted that family member to call police, but that information is unavailable right now. the alleged shooter and the victim lived together. they were a couple but not married. the suspect admitted there was a pact between him and his companion to pull off a murder
