we really have seen a mix of voters here, wolf. we have seen obviously people voting on the democratic side and then what's interesting here, too, many of these crossover voters as well, so here in mississippi, a state that's now sharing the spotlight with three others on this second super tuesday, it's not necessarily just about the people who are voting for the person that they want to win, but the person that at least casting their vote in order to try to -- for the person they do not want to win. interesting dynamics in the south, wolf, only two hours left for people to cast their ballots in mississippi. >> you've been talking to voters over there. what have they been telling you? what's on their minds? >> reporter: well, the economy obviously a heavy issue here in the south. this is a place where obviously based on -- there is no solid national polling, so really it's very difficult to predict who is expected to come out the winner on both sides of the aisle here. but i can tell you some of the conversations that i've had with

wolf?ering the cruz campaign extensively. what's the strategy from ted cruz tonight? >> it's all about pushing this into a two-man race on behalf of the cruz campaign. that's what their goal is to do. so what we'll likely see ted cruz up on the stage is to present himself at the most viable candidate that can be the alternative to donald trump. and this is most part what we've seen him do on the campaign trail largely ignoring two-fourths of the candidates. john kasich and marco rubio. he's been exclusively focused on taking down donald trump. i suspect we'll see a lot of that from him here tonight. wolf? >> sunlen, thank you. >>> the front-runner donald trump is expecting a fresh barrage of attacks tonight. especially from marco rubio and ted cruz. he went after trump, rubio did, aggressively starting at the last debate. but trump returned blistering fire taking a toll on rubio's campaign. let's bring in jim acosta. jim, rubio's attempt to take on trump seemed to have backfired as it has.

>> reporter: well, that manhunt is ongoing, wolf. as you said, the police did indeed raid homes of both the bakraoui brothers. they told us today they raided those homes yesterday. there was one raid where we were actually on hand, and watched that happen. and a bunch of police officers went into that house, and called forensic teams in and got a lot of things out of an apartment. seemed to us as though it was paper bags with what could have been evidence. now, what the police says today is that the searches in those houses proved to be what they say inconclusive. so it's not exactly clear what that means, what exactly they found there. whether or not that would give them any hints as to who else might be out there. meanwhile, the search does continue for those two other people. both of them appear to have been spotted on cctv cameras, one at the airport, one in the metro station. we have seen throughout brussels today a flurry of police activity. there were several raids that happened in various parts of the city. so far, there is n

back to wolf. we have returns in maine, we're going to see if trump the lion stays atop the elephant. >> i want to go to lewiston, maine watching the republican caucuses there. looks like they are starting to count some of those ballots. >> reporter: absolutely. it is a complex democratic system but it all boils down to piles. here's why. about 10 minutes ago voting wrapped up in maine. at least at this location. and what we're seeing right now are deputy clerks sorting what are at least 2,000 ballots that were cast here. what they are doing now, they are essentially separating all of the ballots, putting a pile for trump, for cruz, a pile for kasich and for some of the ones that were perhaps written in. so as soon as they are able to determine exactly which pile is largest, they will begin to sort those into stacks of 50. that would essentially make it easier to count as you can see there are several people that are involved in this process. you may be able to make out representatives from each pe
