cbs2's brian coneybeare reports. >> reporter: it's been 33 years since a suicide bomber killed 241 u.s. marines in beirut, lebanon. >> anybody mentions october 23rd, your heart just stops. morristown, new jersey, lost her 22-year-old son, sergeant jeffrey young that day. judith and 14 others who lost loved ones in beirut and the towers bombing incident just won a lawsuit. judith will get about $5 million because of a u.s. supreme court decision this week. >> it won't bring him back. but our goal was to keep the money away from iran. >> reporter: and there is a similar fight going on in congress right now over a new bill that would allow 9/11 victims families to sue saudi arabia over that country's alleged role in the support of the terrorists who attacked here at ground zero. >> if saudi arabia helped promote a horrible terrorism of 9/11, they should have to pay the consequence. >> reporter: senator chuck schumer is a sponsor of the bill. the saudi king this week, is threatening a veto. some feel it could open the government to lawsuits. but john fulco says there is a major difference.

"purple rain." while the song played the stage and crowd was lit. springsteen closes out the river tour monday night. >>> new at 11, the search for a missing autistic teenager in brooklyn ends with a water rescue. the 14-year-old who doesn't speak disappeared from ps721 on avenue x in coney island today after an hour of searching that area police got a call of a naked man running on the beach at west 12th street. the officers rushed in and took him to safety. >>> surveillance cameras capture a frightening crash in jamaica, queens. you can see a car t-boned a church van causing that van to flip over. it happened at shore avenue and princeton street last night. they were shaken up but not seriously injured. >>> car was in the air. i came outside. smoking. >> no scratch. no injuries. no broken bones. thank god for protecting them. everyone is okay. >> after the crash the driver of the car seen running from the scene

cbs2's brian coneybeare has more from times square. >> reporter: police had to clear out thousands of people from times square just before 8:00 on a busy saturday night. they evacuated the entire area. even bringing in barricades to keep people a safe distance way from this beat up white box truck found abandoned on 46th street near broadway. that's outside of two major theaters and the marriott marquee hotel. it wasn't running but the keys were in the ignition. inside a set of suspicious wires on the front seat and a gas can in the gab. the american eagle outfitter store nearby and other businesses were locked down as a precaution. >> they closed the store. we went into the back. we couldn't go outside or on the floor. it was crazy. >> reporter: the evacuation an eerie sight. in this video of earth cam times musical, hamilton, was affected by the square. robin pruitt's son was there. >> he texted me 15 minutes hamilton should have started and said they were evacuating the theater and he was told that there was a bomb threat. >> reporter: police swarmed the suspicious truck and the bo
