family members are saying the man that was fatally shot by police is 32-year-old george tillman. a father of five. they say this man is innocent. but police say the suspect was approached by officers early this morning. he ran away and then turned around and pointed a firearm at police. >> this is the gun that police say the suspect was carrying when he was shot by officers. the scene sprawled out over 116 avenue and 135 street in the -- of queens. you can see what may appear to be a gun on the ground. according to the nypd, the suspect was running from police when he turned back, firearm in hand. it is unknown if he fired the weapon or how many times he was shot by officers before being taken to jamaica hospital where he died around 1:30 a.m. this morning. you can hear the calls for more officers over the dispatcher radio. >> police say this incidents only involved one suspect. no others are really important injured. the family of the man shot came to jamaica hospital. they say they need to know how and why this happened. >> we need answers. a loving father and husband. very goo
