this is munoz showing his signs and peace beads. this is later at the l.a. press club, organizing the antiwar movement. this is rosalio at one of the earlier demonstrations. this is the so-called march in the rain in february of 1970. when of the demonstrations that led up to the big one on august 29 of that year. as the director or head of the chicano moratorium committee, he gave his speech to the people assembled there. there were parents, grandparents, children. he met with the county sheriff and told them this was a peaceful demonstration and so forth. he concluded his speech and the sheriff deputies began to move in to destroy the demonstration. all of that is in the book. this is at a news conference after the august 29 to protest the police action. rosalio is to the far right. this is less than the year after the demonstration in l.a. this is a much later trip. what i came away with in writing this book is a deep appreciation and respect for the personal integrity and commitment of these three activists. they faced many ups and downs and victories an

munoz just having taken -- they came a week before he took the chair back after his health issues.p a white paper. they put up a website, but yet a white paper. we've been waiting for that certainly speculation that they're getting closer to a settlement. if they're not, they'll have to go full steam ahead. that deadline is approaching. they put up their directors. it's not too far away. >> is there any sense, david, of how the exiting shareholders of ual are feeling about this? do they feel these guys are speaking for them or just let's wait and see? >> listen, the parr guys have significant experience in the airline industry. people criticized the lack of airline experience on the board, but the board changed dramatically before they came. they said that was in part because of the pressure they were putting on the board. they do have more experience on the board. they've been picketed by the pilots wednesday. guys are carrying signs outside in front of your office, maybe that also sort of sends a message. >> without a doubt. the unions have not been in support of parr and altimet

united ceo oskar munoz is buying a million dollars worth of his company's stock.n bought $25 million in his bank's stock after the loss in february. >> there are a lot of numbers. can you go way back. slice it a lot of different ways. one of the slices we did among many we looked at a million dollars or more for ceos, not penny stocks, not these junky companies and you look back from 2003. about a 6% return in the first six months. but most of that return was in the first week. so you had to jump on it fast if you wanted to get that return. if you look at the situation like jpmorgan and jamie dimon he made 20%. he wasn't the only financial executive. there's about 16 ceos did this. it's not unique. if you look beyond a million dollars we expanded it out to $250,000 or more. 800 transactions going back a decade. it's down a percent compared to the million dollar guys. the more they spend the better it seems to do and the final data point if you look at the real big spenders the guys that bought a lot of stock in companies that they owned at least 5% of. so they wer
