the east bay commute, a tight one. g to the bay bridge toll plaza. >> we have a system holding up along the coast, a few clouds in the north bay, it's cool this morning. a lot of people, noticing the bite to the morning air we start off mostly sunny and not much of a breeze yet, but expect it to pick up later as the system moves in. temperatures cool and it will be nice, just not as nice as monday and tuesday. i think that the breeze picks up and there's some areas of low clouds, jan says feels cooler than mid-40s this morning. i'm not surprised, i'm sure there were some readings in the low 40s the system is not doing much. falling a part. but it is going to enhance the low cloud deck and that works its way in and it's right off of the coast. 40s on the temperatures, warming up quick. some areas are in the mid-50s to upper 50s. that observation made it to 39 degrees as did woodside. few clouds to the north, that's not much of the system and it's going to set the stage for a little more in the way of fog. the system drop

we are at the east bay spca. pete, what's the story there? >> reporter: well, you know what, two dogs from that skyline area were brought here to the east bay spca just yesterday and that oakland woman i spoke to who lives in the hills tells me she's working hard to make sure the dogs get here safely. katrina has rescued her fair share of dogs in the oakland hills. the latest one is barlow, a visible injury on his left foot not slowing him down. >> so barlow was hit by a car two days ago after being dumped, and i'm not sure what's going to happen with him. >> reporter: in the past six years, katrina has rescued 25 dogs, 5 of them in the past three weeks. she takes them to shelters around the bay area. the grassy oakland hills have become a dumping ground of sorts when it comes to dogs. and the consequences could be fatal. >> we have a pack of coyotes, an active mama mountain lion. >> these dogs and cats are dm dmesty kated. >> ell rnc rnc >> reporter: two dogs from the area were dropped off yesterday. >> animals are dropped by misguided people
