is that what's bringing this to light today or is it still just this one, andrea constand? >> well, if you want to believe the reports, there are many, many others. but really what it started with was last year when the "new york times" asked the judge to unseal the deposition with cosby. and that is really what opened the door. and if that had not been unsealed, they were two weeks away from the statute of limitations that is just 12 years. so had that not happened at that exact time, we would not be having this conversation. >> there's also now news coming out that the former prosecutor, not kevin steele who we saw there, ten years ago former prosecutor said that there was some sort of a binding promise that he gave bill cosby that he would never be charged. what does that mean? >> well, as a criminal defense attorney, i've never heard of this unless it's on the record or unless somebody is actually gets immunity or is an informant or something of that sort. this sounds a lot like roman polanski's argument that the reason why he left was because there was some back room d

saying the comedian assaulted andrea constand in 2004. this is the first case to go to trial.l analyst and criminal defense attorney and senior trial counsel. gentlemen, great to have you. each will take a side. danny, what are the challenges for bill cosby's team here moving forward? >> going forward, the strategy is, not only at trial, plan to tear apart the witness, the complaining witness, on the stand, confronted with her inconsistencies that we got a preview of at this preliminary hearing. >> meaning she crossed things out in her first statement? given one, on the bed together, lying near each other then crossed those out. >> remember, thoughts basically unknown. an idea of inconsistencies. the fact she crossed them out. we learned the police alternating typing the statement. in other words, took turns typing and listening. then the other one typed and listen. >> why is that a problem? >> it's strange, because i haven't heard of it, and part two, one was typing, one living and one of the officers left as the statement was being corrected by constand. so in the world of -

this is andrea constand. the former director of the women's basketball team here at temple university in montgomery county. this is cosby's hometown. he was absolutely loved here, and now this is the place where this one criminal case is being heard. she says that back in 2004 she went over to his house. he handed her some blue pills, and he sexually assaulted her when she was unable to defend herself. now, bill cosby says this was a consensual act, sexual act, that she consented to, and that's been a key part of his defense today. my colleague inside the courtroom tells me that the defense attorneys for bill cosby will say that she continued to go to his home even after this allegedly occurred, and they say a victim wouldn't behave that way if this was a true sexual encounter. last summer, we were all shocked by that. bill cosby said he did get a prescription for quaaludes to give them to women he wanted to have sex with. this was in a case also to do with andrea constand. that was a civil suit and they even
