morning near her vallejo home. he was killed in a shoot out with police yesterday. in southern california. but pearl is still missing. a woman told police she saw pearl being pull by her hair by a man here on the pedestrian walkway over interstate 780 and she was screaming and the witness heard a gunshot l is a large blood stain here at the scene. the familiar said they cannot sleep they are so worried. they decided to organize a search party this afternoon so they could get out and do something for pearl. here are the details if you would like to help. they are asking people come at 2:00. we at taylor and the 780 crossover, the foot bridge. they want people to walk the streets, look for her, post flyers around vallejo. law enforcement said they are organizing a search party of their own. theirs will span from northern california to southern california. they are trying to get it organized now. they are getting a lot of offers of help including marin county offering search-and-rescue teams pearl's family said they s

kpix 5's jackie ward joins us live from vallejo where pearl's sister is speaking for the first time since the suspect was killed. >> reporter: michelle, her sister's name is rose and rose broke down in tears to us about all that's happened in the past couple of days. this is where pearl was last seen and where friends and family have set up a display of hope. it's the pedestrian bridge that crosses over 780. it has a lot of flowers, cards and messages of faith and love. we spoke to pearl's older sister rose this morning. she says her sister is a fighter and she is pleading with her to stay strong and send clues about where she is if at all possible. rose says she is glad fernando castro, the man police are calling pearl's kidnapper, is dead. but at the same time, it's frustrating. >> it's upsetting that fernando was killed because he is the one with our answers to our questions. he's the one [ indiscernible ] who knows where she is at, where she could have been left at and he -- he knows every, single thing. >> reporter: this is video of the events leading up to his death yesterday. you c
