what it has is thunderstorms across hispaniola which is in the dominican republic and haiti at the moment. a lot of thunderstorms are widely red, the red color, the cooler cloud tops in the aread you can see they're in there at 23 miles per hour so far. they are going to make a lot of loops around this system and determine if there is a low level circulation to see if the system should be upgraded to a tropical depression. so far they have that gust at 23 miles per hour. >>> here's the spaghetti models, they've traveled significantly west as compared to yesterday. it pushes it farther west and that divergent opinion of the computer models that we here in the last couple of days. as we look at the circumstance laying, the visible imagery tells the story of a low level circulation there, it's widely spated from the convection from the south. this is wind shear with the dry air from the system. we'll have to watch it for the next couple of days, we'll learn it and it's potentially strengthening into a depression. >> we'll check back with you in a little bit. hernando county firefighter is in

and you showed me this satellite, i would tell you thunderstorms have gone on in the island of hispaniola. this does not look like a tropic ale system. it's very disorganized. you need them to be calm for the thunderstorms to continue to wrap around for the system to get organized. these are very unfavorable winds. so long as that's pushing away from the center, the system can't organize. but pay attention to what happens on the other side. if the system survives and heads to the bahamas, conditions are more favorable for development. we'll watch these closely as it continues to head off to north and west. computer model forecasts haven't changed as far as that track. this is about all we know right now. what happens over the bahamas will be key as far as the intensity. this is the window this has to become something stronger like a hurricane. category 1 or something like that heading into the southern end of the state. we know for us we'll get a plume of tropical rainfall. we though heavy rains will be that way. the potential risk for downpours coming up sunday and monday. the intensity

and you can see how most of the track follows along north of hispaniola into the bahamas and eventually diverge. in terms of how far west it goes is in terms of how intense it may be and how well organized. so there are a lot of question marks about this system. it could affect the gulf coast. we'll have to watch that for a few when it becomes named, if so, it's hermine. and gas and--gaston, that will stay east of bermuda and go out to sea instead of bothering us too much. around here, high pressure is in control and will lead to generally more sun than clouds. 4:00 p.m. and 78 at 8:00 this evening with mostly clear skies and later tonight, a low of 66 and tomorrow's high, 92, and tomorrow, the dew points will end up station around 60 or so in the afternoon and that's not too bad, and on friday and saturday, 96 degrees for the highs, mostly sunny on friday and partly sunny on saturday with a slight chance of a shower or a storm but us missing out. the dew points, upper 60s to accept, not as muggy as it was for a couple weeks but more humid and uncomfortable than it is the first few days

once it moves away from the influence of hispaniola, then development in this. and most of the computer models have been saying this all along, hey, this is not going to develop until it gets into the bahamas. so but yes i'm looking at this and kind of liking what i see. but again, as it works its way west northwest into bahamas, you've got record warm water temperatures. you're going oh have light wind sheer, a lot to work with. so this l represents where it's trying to form. as it moves toward the northwest, that's what the notice how, at the end of it, they are kind of turning it back toward the north and the east with time. latest gfs computer molds says same thing it doesn't develop same storm. it keeps a big old rainy mess. it does bring it up west coast of our state. with this scenario. several inch and a european thing. a tropical storm i urge you to keep watching model evolve over the next few days. because they are not set in stone yet. i can tell you, that the seven day rainfall totals could quite high throughout entire state. that's going to be our b

just north of hispaniola, this little spin in the cloud cover overhead, that counterclockwise spin is an indication that we're starting to get a little bit of organization to this cluster of thunderstorms. so hurricane hunters will continue to investigate this throughout the course of the morning. i believe there's one on track leaving from the biloxi, mississippi, region to that area. it's the five-day forecast that has meteorologists very interested because once it get noose the open waters of the gulf of mexico, it has to travel through the straits of florida first, over the florida keys, bringing showers, gusty winds, potential for some flooding into south florida. but as it enters this warm, moist environment across the gulf of mexico, that's where we have the potential for some tropical development. that's where we have our highest probability i should say. nonetheless, in the near term from today through the next three days, southern florida will be impacted by rough surf, gusty winds and the potential for flash flooding it's not out of the question to really see a tropical wav
