rescue teams rushed to the scene to pluck that driver from the water as the the scene in bourne with the very latest. she joins us on the phone now. anna. >> reporter: kate, i'm on perry avenue near the town hall in bourne right now. this area is blocked off with crime tape. officials tell me a man trove through a seating area with benches, crashed through a piece of fencing, and flew off a bridge abutment dropping about 30 to 40 feet and then plunge into the canal. officials tell me the car you can smell some of the smoke in the air from that. in this video, you can see first responders carrying the man on a stretcher from the water and loading him into an ambulance. police say he only has minor injuries. now the challenge is getting that car out of the water. there are currently both in the water trying to locate it because the challenge is the tide has been getting higher and higher. so the car has become even more submerged. at this time, it's still unclear how or dropping off that bridge abutment and into the cape cod canal. but luckily this man is going to be 0' kay. that's the latest from bourne. back to you guys. >> an that, th
