eastern portions of south carolina. arrives here in the eastern portions of north carolina. around 2 a.m. tomorrow morning, winds still about 45 miles per hour with this system. as we head towards tomorrow afternoon, it should be back in the open atlantic pulling away it will weaken considerably, losing a lot of its tropical characteristics as we head into later this holiday weekend into early next week. but really won't be an issue for many folks up and down the east coast by that point in time. let's get to watches, warnings, advisories all in effect. we have a number of them here around central and eastern north carolina. first, i want to start you off with this tropical storm warning in effect for a lot of eastern north carolina including wilmington, new bern. a lot of our beaches out towards the outer banks as well. i know head to the beach for labor day weekend: give it today. tomorrow will be considerably drier. we have a flash flood watch that will go into effect later this afternoon around the triangle, already in effect down around the sand hills. 2 to 6 inches of rain possible

it's going to do is circle high clouds on the west side of that storm, upper level low into eastern north carolina as we go through the curse of the day. we'll see a few of those. overall a large ridge of high pressure extending in from our north and west looks like it will be the dominant feature for us today. we've got sunny skies this morning. we'll see those mixed with just a few high clouds afternoon hours. as the bulls have their 1st pitch at 1:05, plenty of sun, a couple high sir rise clouds. by 3:30 game should be just about wrapping up. the humidity fairly low at that point. humidity stays fairly low tomorrow as well, although we get up to about 91 degrees. if you're out early tomorrow morning at 5:25, we'll have an international space station pass overhead. it will appear high in the west, southwestern sky, in the sky, about 77 degrees above the horizon. so should be bright. and than disappears just 2, 3 minutes later, low in the nearby sky. looks like we'll heat up more as we get into wednesday, thursday, and friday. by then, we're turning more humid. we get into the mid-90s on thursday
