arizona highways television robin sewell takes us to a special place called the hopi house. >> reporter: you can't take the grand canyon home with you, but you can take ani a great place to shop is the historic hopi house. let's go. hopi house is the first and largest gift store at the grand canyon. and the building itself is as much a work of art as the work it houses. it was designed by architect mary coweller to closely resemble a hopi pueblo, not only he is aestheticsically but with adobe and the ceilings are made with grass covered with mud. the stairway is decorated with murals by an unknown hopi artists. when it opened in 1985, american artists worked on site and sold their works. today the second floor native american art gallery features traditional and contemporary arts and crafts, including pottery, >>> there are so many ways to experience the grand canyon in both summer and winter so make sure it is on the top of your bucket list. be sure to watch arizona highways television, saturdays at 6:30 and sundays at 4:30 here on 12 news. >>> still ahead our pet of the week. help get
