i used to work in savannah, georgia, and i will tell you a lot of low laying areas there. the flooding occurs quickly. that is an area getting hit the hardest into charleston, south carolina. and we're seeing julia move about 7 miles per hour and taking its time. the good news is that as it mas weaken. that system thrives off of the ocean temperatures. let's look at the heavy rain at home. we're seeing some of the reds, oranges and that means it's downpouring right now. we're seeing it into medina and shifting quickly. new in parts of gilford and into areas south of medina. and we head farther south into holmes county and millersburg about to get hit by heavy rain as well as southern portions of holmes county into clark and direction forwards walnut creek. much of northeast ohio is seeing the rain and those spots were where we were seeing the heaviest. and the good news is that after the cluster of rain following the showers, we should be drying out this evening. tonight is not going to be a wet night. brought us great weather the last few days and the cold front is passin

it's going to be southern and eastern georgia, towards, say, macon, down the interstate towards savannah, georgia. i think then it moves up the eastern seaboard towards south carolina and north carolina. the outer banks certainly going to be feeling the effects and this is what i think is going to be most pivotal. that were wreak havoc on the eastern seaboard causing lots of flooding, unfortunately. back at home, of course, we have first kick here at about 8 p.m. at firstenergy and i think that we'll see temperatures in the upper 60s, low 70s currently in the upper 60s, low 70s right now. we're also tracking a couple of isolated showers let me take you in. evening from, say, ashtabula county, you're seeing it in cuyahoga county. you could see rain during the game. high pressure is forcing even cooler air over a warm lake. that of course leads to that lake-effect isolated shower that we'll see. i think that high pressure slips down towards the southeast. and that means more sunshine for us thank goodness by tomorrow afternoon. and then into the weekend. so here's what it looks like. from now throu

for the warnings they extend from savannah, georgia, up into cape hatteras as well. for us we are underneath a tropical storm watch from surf city to atlantic city and rehoboth beach. ocean city, maryland updated to a tropical storm warning. here is the latest, right now a tropical storm winds sustained at 50 miles per hour and moving northeast at 15 miles per hour. it is expected to ride over the carolinas today and off the shore of the atlantic coast. once that occurs, and we do have the storm moving off the mid-atlantic coast. it will essentially stall out south and east of atlantic city and southeast of jersey as well. and a change, a windshield wiper effect until the storm moves offshore. this is the latest and update. as it moves off the coast, from sunday the winds with this storm are 65 miles per hour, but by monday it reaches hurricane strength to 75 miles per hour so that is the update and that is the change it goes from tropical storm strength to hurricane strength across our region and this could have an impact across our region especially at the coast. t

savannah, georgia. >>> we are closely watching hermine's track to the north with the potential for a big impact here in our area, especially along the shore. we get more now from meteorologist krystal klei. krystal you just got an update at 5:00. tell us about it. >> we're looking at that projection of where the system may track. it's still looking similar to what the previous projections were showing us meaning that it's going to be stalling out just off the coast of us, that system then creating those large swells that unfortunately push those larger waves along the shore and lead to that worry of tidal flooding. this is what we're looking at, today a minor threat will start late in the day into the night, but it's going to be getting worse your sunday and especially sunday night into monday. that at this point looking like the biggest concern for showers as well as high winds and the forcing of those waves on shore. looking at the back face, this is also going to be a concern because it may be worse there, flooding might not be able to reseed as easily. if you think of this during
