this is the state of the senate race in michelle obama. s missouri. this is the state of the senate race in indiana where it's former democratic senator evan versus republican todd young. all of those senate races are ones democrats would love to win on november 8. they're close enough if the election strongly goes in clinton's way, a little investment in those states, even if it was theoretically for the presidential race, might have a knock on effect in those lower state, lower ballot races. it would be so important to the democratic party if the democrats could sweep those senate races blue while putting hillary clinton in the white house. may also be a similar calculation with the governor's race in missouri and the governor's race in indiana. both in reach for the democrats. so part of what the clinton campaign is doing with the red state spending, it may be about down ticket races. it may also be she's confident enough she's going win that she's now just trying to win big. in terms of electoral probabilities the "new york times" they give hillar
