craig sampson's father hopes there is a lesson in the tragedy. >> i hope that our loss,s somebody else from having the same loss. ed: castano will also serve three year's probation and will lose his driver's license for 15 years. maria: sal dimasi has only days left in prison after a judge granted his request for early release today. the former massachusetts house speaker is battling health issues. dimasi's wife is giving her only on-camera interview to our janet wu, who joins us now. reporter: sal dimasi will be federal prison at 10 am on tuesday. this comes after federal prosecutors, the bureau of prisons and the judge who sentenced him said it was time for him to come home. debbie dimasi said she couldn't believe it when she received the call from their attorney this morning. >> when i heard it was utter shock and disbelief. it's sinking in slightly. when i am able to see him and walk with him out of the prison that will be amazing. that is when i will believe it. reporter: she said her husband has lost 70 pounds after suffering and being treated for neck, tongue and prostate cancer
