wral's gerald owens has tonight's nc wanted mystery. >> reporter: 19-year-old rudy riles was found in her home in dunn the week before thanksgiving. she had been suffocated with a pillow. >> i found her in the bedroom on her bed. and the phone was off the hook. >> reporter: riles wedding ring was missing from her finger. authorities believed it was a break-in. >> does not take a lot to overpower a 90-year-old woman even though by all accounts she was very feisty. >> reporter: investigators set their sights on christopher michael capps. a teenager with a criminal record who lived across the street and often did odd jobs for riles. >> it's not nothing violent. i'm a very loving and caring person. i'm like a big teddy bear. questioned about a murder. you know what i'm saying? >> reporter: caps denies any involvement. despite the fact he failed a polygraph and other stress tests issued by investigators. >> i could understand how it feels. i was telling the truth. >> reporter: investigators have one big problem. family members who found riles body thought she died of natural causes. so the

ment thank you for joining us i'm gerald owens. >> i'm debra morgan. adam owens is live in durham with more on what the demonstrators were protesting. >> reporter: scores of demonstrators gathered here in also a living wage. those protesters chanted and waved signs earlier this evening. this is a photo posted to social media of what happened next. you can see a line of police moving towards the crowd. several demonstrators were arrested. some say they were taken away in at least two buses. dozens ended up downtown here at the jail. we talked with a couple of protesters that were arrested. one of them tells us she's a mother of three trying to survive on minimum wage. the other says we more of these kinds of demonstrations in the future. >> it's hard trying to survive, like i said i have three jobs just to try and make ends meet, and i still don't be able to with having to pay rent, lights water, and cell phone bills and trying to take care of my children. it's hardworking and living on nothing but minimum wage. >> we'll be in the streets more and more

i'm gerald owens. the keith scott was shot and killed by an officer back in september, and his death sparked protests across the country. we got the autopsy report today. story that people have many questions about, but the autopsy does at least give us a few more answers. scott was shot three times, once in the posterior chest, once in the abdomen, and once in the arm, and abrasions were reported by the medical examiner. a foxology report shows he was on sedatives and anticonsultants, but no al or cocaine was found in his system. the autopsy explains his cause of death, but at this point it's just a piece of the investigation. scott's wife has said she believes her husband was shot because of his race and that he was an armed -- and that he wasn't armed, but the police say scott was indeed armed. the investigation is on going, and the officer remains on paid leave while the investigation continues. >> a lot 6 of interest in the case. thank you. >>> a local teacher is on paid text messages she sent to
