let's bring in our panel, charles hurt, caitlyn burns, and charles krauthammer. charlie, we're waiting for all the transition to take place. what about this news, if true? how do you read it? what do you think? >> i don't really know what to make of that. obviously, we have known that his family -- he was going to rely on his family a lot. probably not quite that much. but it isn't a surprise that he is going to rely on them and have them -- they have been an integral part of the campaign so far and i think a lot of people probably expected them to be involved with the administration itself. as for the rest of the transition developments, you know, i think that the choice of reince priebus as chief of staff is probably a wise move that suggests he is interested in learning how washington works. he had a great advantage not really knowing or caring how washington works, just denouncing it. then the choice of steve bannon. bannon has been, before he became a formal part of the campaign, has been the heart and soul of the campaign itself. he was sort of channelling

matthew cottonetti, heidi presbella and charles krauthammer.harles, what do you make of miss devos? >> it's encouraging. it's one of these program specific appointments. that is, this is donald trump's way of saying that he is serious about school choice. republicans talked about it. have talked about it for 30 years. the aft, the american federation of teachers is probably the single most reactionary organization. they have condemned generations of inner city students to really blighted lives as a result of the fact that as a monopoly they look after themselves. which is what unions do. their pretense is hollow. this i think is a tremendous opportunity. because it would make a huge difference in the lives of inner city students. it will be an opportunity to demonstrate that conservative ideas can work if implemented. and i think it shows seriousness about policy which has not been as strong a point for the president-elect in the form of this nominee? >> heidi? >> let me touch on some other points because you went through the ideological bent.

jason riley, laura ingram, charles lane and charles krauthkrau krauthammer.ing and paul ryan about the agenda. your thoughts? >> i think that president-elect trump could do a lot of good with the never trumpers in particular in bringing them back into the fold based on what he prioritize here. i think if he picks a conservative nominee to replace justice scalia and repeals obamacare, he will win over a lot of these folks initially and then go from there. i think that should be at the top of his agenda. i think it will be at the top of his agenda. we heard paul ryan, there are differences. you pressed on some of the issues much entitlement reform. he seemed to be saying you can't repeal and replace obamacare in total without doing some form of entitlement reform. there will be sticky areas. i think the stage is set here for the republican party to come back together based on them now controlling both chambers of congress and the presidency. >> once he is sworn in, laura, president trump is not probably just going to hand the keys over to congress and paul ryan
