nancy pelosi with ohio congressman tim ryan announcing friday he'll challenge her for the top democratic post in the house. we're back with dan henninger, jason riley kissel and james freeman. dan, you've known chuck schumer for a while, what kind of a politician is he? >> he's a politician who loves to do politics, paul. and i will say, that the one thing that's going to happen in washington is that the long eight-year political desert under barack obama is about to end. i mean, but obama's problem in large part was he didn't do retail politics. he didn't like to mix it up with people. donald trump is going to be on that phone all day long. i think both republicans and democrats and one of his main correspondents is going to be chuck schumer. now, whether anything comes of that is a good question. schumer is being pushed by his left. we saw bernie sanders in the back of the photograph and by elizabeth warren and the democratic caucus in the house dominated by people on the left. and the question is whether donald trump's intention to do things to grow the economy, like cutting, say, corporate taxes, is going to get support on the democratic side.
